As for spinning surface, flatter appears to be better. The low clearance doesn't lend itself to highly concave surfaces like a lens. I need a very steady hand not to grind it into my 20cm focus lenses. Otherwise, it's a great little spinner.

Got my top a few days ago. It's a lot of fun for a little top and I really enjoy the antique finish. Thanks so much, Chris!
I was able to break 6 mins a couple of times on a K9 2 spinbase.

I'm sure I'll get there eventually. I've only been playing around with tops for about 6 weeks now, so I'm still experimenting with grips and the like. :)

Got mine yesterday! Had a spin of 5:32 this morning. I am curious as to what makes this copper so dark already? Cute little top!

WyndHi @Wynd These have a forced patina that makes the copper dark. Raw copper will develop a patina over time, however using a chemical process to create the patina generally gives you a more even appearance.

I think there is a bit of top burnout on MD, especially at this price point. I've picked up three tops here (incl. this one) and another direct from a seller's site, all under $75. But now I'm looking at pricier tops. Not the $400 exotic tops, but maybe something in the $100-200 range.

Have you considered trying different knurl patterns? Love your designs. It has just been hard getting the limited ones for obvious reasons.

Individual packages have started to ship! The vendor confirmed earlier that majority of the group's order has been sent out with the rest scheduled for pickup shortly. Once your package is scanned into the courier's system an email will be sent with shipping confirmation and tracking info.

Nevertheless, it is a pretty awesome and finely detailed piece. Here it is with several other popular spinners. As for spinning surface, flatter appears to be better.
