This is a terrible deal. There are much better options on amazon for just about anything you'd need in a kitchen scale for much less. I'd much rather have this one for instance: https://www.amazon.com/Kinzi-Digital-Touch-Kitchen-Tempered/dp/B01ASBMVS4/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1508344349&sr=8-16&keywords=kitchen+scale

GetOffMyPrawnThanks for sharing. I'm looking for something to measure my coffee grounds and don't need to go crazy. I wouldn't mind the price if I knew this CDN was high quality.
The link you posted is a nice scale, and price is right, I wonder though how precise it is. The scale in this drop is 1-1000 grams. The Amazon link measures over 5000! This one looks good for small jobs: GDEALER Digital Pocket Kitchen Scale 0.001oz/0.01g 500g Kitchen Food Scale Jewelry Weight Compact Scale, Tare, Stainless Steel, Backlit Display https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E6RE3A0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_G255zb0QKDKQ6

StevePAEven better deal and this one is just as precise but goes up to 3000g. 1g increments is useless when measuring baking ingredients like yeast so this one at .1g is perfect for the kitchen and it has a 3yr warranty. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010HKEDPK/ref=psdc_678508011_t3_B01ASBMVS4

RedSoul001Nice; would be cool to have more functionality than just for measuring coffee.

this is the one I bought (twice, 1st one wore out) primarily for weighing coffee in general, espresso in particular. IIRC the manufacturer of the espresso machine I use (LaMarzocco) recommended it to me, their distributor in the U.S.
I used to weigh the coffee grinds going into my porta filter then the amount of espresso going into the cups (I pull a double shot basket (14 grams) into two cappuccino cups) but after a while it got tedious and I went back to dosing and brewing w/o using a scale
Anymore I mainly use this scale to scale ingredients going into my Vita-Mix blender, to make smoothies. Got hooked on smoothies early last summer, and have been ever since. Anyways, I can vouch for the aforementioned scale I posted the link to. No drifting, just does what it is supposed to do
Anymore I mainly use this scale to scale ingredients going into my blender, to make smoothies. Got hooked on smoothies early last summer, and drink several daily ever since*. Paper tape solved the broken tab issue (battery door tab was broken on arrival). FWIW the tape is underneath the scale and can't be seen unless turned upside down. If you're wondering why I didn't return it, I needed a scale to use and it's no real biggie for me using tape to keep the battery door closed
*I'm getting off topic but some may find it interesting...I lived on smoothies to lose weight. No kidding! I lost 40 lbs. in several months drinking nothing but smoothies. Two different recipes to be exact, both in the booklet that came with the Vita-Mix blender. I should mention, in regards to the weight loss, although smoothies comprised my main caloric intake, anytime I ate other foods, it was all raw (fruits). I wanted to lose weight but I didn't want to starve myself, eating raw foods enabled me to keep myself satisfied (getting enough to eat)

shakin_jakeI'm curious, what did you put in the smoothies, and how often did you eat actual foods. Thank you.

BjerdmanNo additives in the smoothies, just the ingredients listed in the recipe, which are online BRW, and not in the manual that camecwith the blender...I was mistaken on that point
FWIW the breakfast smoothie I make is called the orange cream sickle smoothie IIRC. There aee 5 ingredients- ice (260 grams), 150 grams frozen mango chunks, 485 grams vanilla yogurt, 3 tablespions of frozen Orange Juice concentrate and 240 ml’s coconut water...we (wifey and I) drink/make at least two pitchers every day
I play around with the ingredients, sometimes extra OJ concentrate, lately I first scale out 125 grams of Greek yogurt then the balance low fat Dannon vanilla yogurt
FWIW2, I love to use Stonyfield(SP) Greek whole milk vanilla bean yogurt, then I’m stuck in a rut using low fat Dannon vanilla yogurt...just love the flavor of those two in particular
The other smoothie I make is calledGoing Green Smoothie and it’s on Vira Mix’s website. I’m using 125 ml’s Propel kiwi strawberry bottled water, so hooked on that water=-:) then 170 grams green table 🍇 grapes..I buy organic when possible, then 85 grams pineapple. Publix grocers where I shop, they sell fresh cored pineapple, let’s see, 60 grams spinach and I buy baby spinach...makes a differenice, a half frozen banana, 70 grams ice, I think that’s it. This smoothie gives me the greens (spinach) I need but if you’re trying to lose weight, couple those two smoothies with a raw salad for your solid food needs. If Ican, I put raw avocado on my salads
The only superfoods I consume is hulled hempseed and I’ll use two heaped teaspoons on my oatmeal, now lately I also add a heaping teaspoon of coconut oil, the organic stuff that is solid around 70 degrees Fahrenheit...I like and buy Nutiva branded coconut oil and their coconut manna...I’m using their hemp seeds, sent courtesy of Amazon Prime
Hope this helps!
