The CEL Robox RBX01 3D printer is designed to print objects with smooth edges and minimal stringing. Fit for beginners and experts alike, its AutoMaker software provides an easy-to-use interface with three preset print profiles that deliver repeatable results and can be expanded for future improvements and technologies. A rigid three-axis cartesian frame supports the innovative HeadLock system, which allows connections to single heads, dual heads, and others that are currently in development. Eventually the printer could be converted into an automated light machining rig, a 2D drag-knife cutter, or a paste-extruding system for ceramics and wax.
Featuring a dual-nozzle system, the CEL Robox RBX01 is faster than typical 3D printers without sacrificing detail. At 0.3 millimeters wide, the small nozzle lends itself to finer detail on peripherals, while the larger 0.8-millimeter nozzle provides broader strokes to fill the spaces in between. Use the larger head for quick drafts and the smaller head for projects that require more detail. SmartReel technology communicates to the device what type of filament is being used and how much is left—you can even change filaments in the middle of printing. It’s also compatible with third-party filaments but won’t automatically recognize them.
With automatic levelling and platform calibration, the CEL Robox RBX01 scans and probes the print surface multiple times prior to each job to ensure accuracy and maintain optimal distance from the head. For certain materials, the ThermoSurface can be heated up to 130-degrees Celsius in less than 3 minutes—far faster than other printers in its class. The two-sided surface can also be easily removed for cleaning after long printing sessions. For safety, you can use the motorized lock to prevent opening while printing.
