Hi CE, I have one more question about how much power the DACport can take from a USB input. I am thinking about using an external USB charger as the DACport's power source in order to reduce the interference from my computer USB port. Can I use power input up to 5V and 2A? or is it safer to use say 5V and 1.2A? Thank you.

No need for external power cleanup. We do it all inside. DACport has 5 internal power supplies and completely decouples itself from the USB power source. It's a serious machine, not a toy. I think you will not hear much difference. To answer your question, DACport takes about 350mA at 5V, depending on the headphones and how loud you are cranking them.
