I've got an O2 Amp on the way from the other drop.
Would it be expected that the sound quality would be improved or degraded by adding the O2 into the chain after the Dacport? The Dacport is loud enough for me by itself, even at the low gain setting.
Has anyone else who got an O2 as well tested this yet?

If it's loud enough already, then why bother? It would defeat the purpose of this being a compact and portable DAC/amp if you are going to line it out to a separate full sized amp like the O2. Will it degrade the audio? Yes, but your ears most likely wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

The reason that I ask is because Ableton doesn't support multiple audio cards. I have to use my PCI soundcard when I'm making music using Ableton because it has inputs that I need. But I would rather use the Dacport when I'm just listening to music and general PC use. Both the Dacport and the PCI soundcard outs will go to a speaker amp as well, so no matter which one I am listening to, I can switch the speakers on to annoy the girlfriend whenever I want.
So I have to make a switchbox, and it simplifies the wiring significantly if I will run both soundcards through the O2.
I don't know if I explained that very well...
