Firmware updaters have been posted!
Attention all DACport Slim users! We have posted new firmware updates on our website. You can access them at the link below. Click the "Firmware" tab on the page.

Please note that there are two updaters, one for Mac and one for Windows. Use the one that's most convenient for you and connect the Slim to a working USB port for performing this update. After the update, all USB ports should work equally well. Let us know if you have any questions.

CEntranceThanks, updated successfully on Win7, not that I was having any USB issues. "Firmware version 0026" from 0025.

CEntranceI'm pleased to report that the new 0026 firmware fixed my problem getting the DACport Slim to work on USB 2.0 ports in my Windows 7 laptop. When I went to install it, at first I couldn't even get the USB 3.0 ports to recognize the device. Turns out the original USB cable died at the exact time I went to do the update. Figures. Anyway, thanks for getting out the update. Next stop, Windows 10 driver for my other laptop.

EarsExcept the updater doesn't run on 32bit windows... So I have no means of updating...WinXP machines won't run it "not valid Win32 application" and Win7x64 machines will bug out on driver signature, refusing to work with the update.

asymconI had that issue with an older Windows 7x64 laptop of mine. Went into windows updater and did all the recommended and some of the optional updates and made sure everything was up to date. After that, the driver installed without an issue.

SomeTechNoobInstalling every update is not sensible solution to this issue, I covered it in one of my previous replies. What I don't get is for the firmware update you have to have: 1. Minimum Windows 7 64bit installed 2. Installed CEntrance driver 3. Working instance of the driver active when firmware update begins...
This is kinda puzzling, as the universal driver does support WinXP, then why not the firmware update? Also it completely rules out Linux users.

asymconYou could always spin up a Windows 7x64 VM that's fully patched and use that, or borrow a few minutes of time with someone's Mac? The firmware update shouldn't be a regular occurance, just some temp access to a compatible machine should get you where you need to be :)
Weird about the x86 issue, maybe they only tested the patcher on 64 bit PCs?
