Would a smartphone be able to power this and is it compatible with OSX?
Fully compatible with OSX. Smartphone "could" power it, but not for long.
Is the DACport Slim fully compatible with Android, too? Will a driver be installed automatically or is there a need for one at all? Will the audio from the phones/tablets 3,5 jack be muted when the Slim is connected? How will it play together with A2DP-compatible phones/tablets and connected bluetooth A2DP-compatible earpieces? Will the audio be directed to both at the same time, or will the Slim take preference over the bluetooth?
How powerhungry is the Slim? What would be a regular mAh consumption when driving 32ohm headphones with, say, the volume dial at 10%-20% of maximum?
Questions, questions, so many questions...
The DACport Slim is a very tempting product, is it available in the EU or is Massdrop the only vendor for the Slim?
