View Full Discussion Ok people with Tidal/Windows 10 I am testing a work around now I may have found since they say ASIO doesn't lock up Windows 10, and not having the CEntrance USB Audio selected in playback devices; I will update this if I get any freezing or not while we are waiting for them to release a driver.
But head to this website here,
Scroll down and look for the download for "HIFI-CABLE & ASIO-Bridge" It is a virtual cable and allows you to select an ASIO input I found this on Head-Fi forums here,
That post explains what to do but basically you install that program from the link above set the Hi-Fi cable as default playback device and do the same in Tidal and open up the ASIO Bridge program the download installs and select the DACport as the ASIO device.
This could be a temporary fix for users with Windows 10 not just for Tidal use, but I know other users were disappointed about their machines locking up and if ASIO doesn't lock up the machine then this should work as it uses ASIO.
*NEW EDIT it's been over an hour now and still no lock up fingers crossed!, but I'm sure this temporary fix works as it's forcing it to run in ASIO mode but you can get all windows sounds to play through so no more being stuck with Foobar or whichever other media player!
m4rkbr0wn for da Prezident of da Urth!
Cool find, bro!
Holy Merciless jesus, there is a God. And its name is ASIO BRIDGE. Haha.
I have the Dacport LX right now, do you think this would be an upgrade at all? I have heard that some people like the old sound better.
