So just wanted to give a quick counterpoint to everyone having so many troubles. First off, my original DACport Slim was stolen from my mailbox. Totally not Massdrop's problem as the Post Office noted the entire neighborhood recently had an issue. Massdrop sent me a replacement, overnight air, no questions asked. Unbelievable customer service.
On the Slim itself. First impression, solid build and much smaller than I expected. I had absolutely no issue on Windows 7 64 bit. Downloaded Universal Driver, Installed, plugged in Slim with provided USB cable, opened Slim Update (also downloaded from Centrance site), changed MusicBee setting for external DAC, plugged in new AKG K7XXX, opened Paranoid Android (my reference song), mind blown. Just great all around. Proceeded to listen to some Kind of Blue and then on to Phish Headphone Jam and all sound stellar.
Then moved on to potential mobile solution. LG G3 with USB Audio Player Pro, OTG Y cable (Tendak Micro USB 2.0 On-The-Go (OTG) Cord Cable Adapter with USB Power for reference, Jackery Mini Premium Portable Charger 3400mAh External Battery Pack, Slim, headphones, all good. Haven't listened long enough to confirm battery drain but all look good so far.
I feel for those having so many problems with the installation. Stick with it as I can assure you it is worth it.
