I'm torn between this and the 2016 Fiio E10k which should be out by the end of the month. Any thoughts between these two? Thanks in advance.
Considering the new olympus Fiio E10k is based on a TI PCM 5102 mid level tier Dac and a LMH663A opamp designed Amp section versus a Flagship "Verita" AKM4490 Dac with a discrete Class-A amp output with no filter caps inline among other many other technical aspects well described in this thread and other reviews . Differences aside versus size and I/O. 95% will likely agree the CEntrance Dacport slim will sound = or better in every way and setup. The TI5102 Dac isn't exactly exciting the latest Audiophile world on fire.
Fiio isn't just another Dac company so no disrespect but it is like comparing a Ford Mustang to a Mclaren 650s.
Why wait for the Fiio? Hope this helps...
