Has anyone noticed a high temperature for this product? It gets rather hot when you touch it to adjust the volume. Is this standard or could it be troublesome to the device? Thanks

Standard due to the inefficiency of the Class A amplifier. Case acts like a heatsink.

You can also say "Due to high precision of the Class A amplifier, which comes at the cost of some heat dissipation". But the unit is by no means hot, just warm to the touch.

Indeed. It was an excellent hand warmer during the winter months.
