Over the past week or so I've run into one particular issue I can't seem to fix. Occasionally when switching tracks in foobar2000 it'll stop playback and act like there's no valid playback device even though the DAC's still connected and no other applications will play audio either (won't even start playback). The only way to fix it is to unplug the DAC and plug it back in, but it'll happen again after a few tracks.
I think this might be a foobar issue more than the DACport Slim's but I figure I'll ask here anyway. I'm on Windows 10 with driver version 7.9.8 (firmware 0026).

orbiSounds like your usb port is not providing full power needed for dacport slim. Try other usb ports. Also good to try usb 3.0 port if you have one.

ridhuankimI was originally running it off my keyboard's USB 2 pass-through (absolutely not ideal, I know). Moved it to a USB 3.0 port with a different cable but I am still getting it.

orbiBased on what you say, it does not seem to be related to sleep feature. If the device disappears then it still looks like usb power issue. Can you share why you are thinking it is foobar issue?

ridhuankimIt doesn't disappear. It's still there in Windows. It just doesn't seem to allow any audio to go through it? It's hard to describe, but foobar gets stuck on 0:00 (or wherever I seek to) as if it doesn't have a valid audio device. If I go to YouTube or a site like Soundcloud it'll just sit there at 0:00 and seem to buffer forever until I disconnect the DAC.
The reason I think foobar is causing it is because it only occurs when I switch tracks in foobar. I've messed around in iTunes a little and it doesn't seem to happen there.

orbiI see. I am guessing that if you configured to give exclusive access to applications for sound device(at the device setting) then it block other apps when that app(foobar) had trouble?
