For those curious about a sub I added a PSB SUBseries 100 sub woofer which is a small sub woofer but happens to be a really good match with the masterclasses for near field listening. The high gloss finish matches the PSB subwoofer almost perfect. The Fiance thought they were all one set.
For an Amp I am using a Pro-ject Amp Box from their S line- Which at 4 ohms will drive up to 35 watts. This is one of the smallest form factor power amps I could find that was not a T amp. I am using a Schiit Magni 2 Uber as a preamp.
I saw a question about acoustic pads. After using books I ended up getting a set of the smaller Adams Audio speaker pads for just over $20 on amazon, which have a near perfect width but was a bit long. I used a long razor and sliced the backs off( I used the scraps Under the PSB subwoofer) The sound very clean with the pads , my desk resonated a lot.
Out of the box these are fantastic near fields. I built my entire desktop system around these. I enjoy them so much I really am trying to justify another pair.
