Thanks -- that's not a bad amp there.
But we are planning to offer even better specs -- you need lower distortion to really make these speakers shine. Ours would also be very small -- the same size as a HiFi-M8, perfect for those busy desks. You can notice that we have a lot of those chassis made and can easily transform them into new products:

How does that sound?

CEntranceSounds groovy. Can you share the target specs? You going Class D or A/B... or A? (hot potato!)
jeremyaClass D, but with much improved modern technology -- the same kind as in our award-winning DACmini PX (still on Stereophile's recommended product list).
It would be 25W per channel, line-level input, distortion in the .01% range, flat frequency response, the works. We designed the amp circuit for the PX but could put into a smaller enclosure. It would actually be perfect.

CEntranceWouldn't we want something closer to 50wpc? Speakers tend to perform the best when they have an over-abundance of power behind them... an amp that can only provide (nominally) the same power as a speaker can draw is often going to be over-taxed by dynamic loads. Double the wattage gives you plenty of "head room" so you get effortless control (and therefore less distortion) at listening levels, and still have some room to crank it when you need that little push over the cliff...
As an alternative (if double power per channel isn't achievable at the price target), would it be possible to bridge the output and use two of these amplifiers as ~50w monoblocks? ;-)

CEntranceIf Centrance can indeed build a nice, small speaker amp in that form factor, I'm definitely in. Would probably be very nice for driving planar headphones as well, like the mini-x (which isn't so small in reality).

jeremyaHm that's interesting. What would you suggest for sub $100? I was leaning towards Topping TP20 MKii
