This is a direct question for CEntrance that would really get me thinking to go in before the drop closes. So I was wondering what exactly is the difference between the CEntrance's coplanar driver technology and KEF's patented Uni-Q technology which as I understand is pretty much the same concept but branded with a name? Everyone knows that KEF's LS50 speakers are almost unanimously praised and worshiped as blackmagic voodoo due to how amazing they sound. I am assuming the main reason is the Uni-Q technology that KEF was using in them and for their flagship, Blade. Is CEntrance giving us the same amazing sound and technology at a fraction of the price? I basically want to know what the main difference (maybe you guys wouldn't know if you're not familiar with KEF) is between your coplanar drivers and KEF's Uni-Q (aka coplanar) drivers. Thanks for always checking back here. It really makes you guys an awesome company.

Ebekenezer_TuskayHey, thanks for the good words. There are only three patents in the world for this kind of technology -- locating the tweeter and the woofer in the same driver. There are some differences in implementation. One is Tannoy. Then there is KEF. And the third patent, as you have probably guessed, covers the driver in the MC2504 speakers :)
The difference is in the type of magnet we use (modern neodimium with excellent force per weight ratio), the type of suspension and how the magnet is mounted. Without going into lengthy details, I'll tell you that once you have these speakers at your place, you will be pleasantly surprised with how open, transparent and clear they sound. There is a lot to be said for the precise imaging and wide soundstage that comes from the co-planar design. The Absolute Sound are tough to please and we got a very good write up there, along with many other pubs.

CEntranceDon't forget about Vienna Acoustics "Patented Vienna Acoustics Flat-Spider-Cone midrange with 2.5cm hand crafted neodymium center vented silk dome tweeter" that they use in their KLIMT series. :)
