To be clear: I'll not dispute that there are some who can hear differences when using quality cables etc. Just as there are tone-deaf people in the world, likewise people with exceptional hearing do exist. I think "hearing" these differences is contagious amongst people who desire to be "audiophiles". I know that if I spent significant bucks on some wires I'd sure be straining to hear the "improvement".
So if people have the monetary means and the audible ability to make use of these, so be it. I've never heard a difference & never will but conceed the possibility that others can.
Ogen_the_MaticPeople spend money on good equipment not because they are nuts, but because their hearing is trained to hear the difference. You can drive a Prius and never know what a Porsche feels like while cornering. And you can claim that there is no difference between the two cars because you only need a car to go grocery shopping. Yes, in this case you should keep the Prius and buying a Porsche will be a waste of money. When you realize that you are ready for more power, you start looking at your options. This audio business is the same. We have been around the block and are not known for selling snake oil. Ask Stereophile (Cover, 2011), Absolute Sound (Product of the Year, 2015) and many others. There is a tremendous difference for those to whom this matters. For others, it will feel senseless until their hearing is improved.
