I was interested in these cables in spite of the degradation caused by adding the screw-on banana plug. But then I read the information and that turned me off to the company completely. "Bass frequencies travel in a solid central 12 AWG core conductor, which is surrounded by six stranded cores. These outside conductors carry the mid and high frequencies, resulting in solid imaging, enhanced sound staging, and true signal clarity." That's insane! Are they saying they have an online crossover? If they did, the single contact banana plug would put frequencies all together again anyways. They look like nice cables but the hype, made-up physics and illusions of snake oil surrounding them makes me lose trust in anything that company says.

MwinkcYes, the frequencies split up as they enter the cable and then come together again at the jack on the other side. It's not intuitive at first glance because it feels that a cable is just a chunk of metal -- what's so complicated about it? But the reality of it is that a cable is actually a complex electronic component if you start digging into the physics of it. Note that skin effect is a property of long wire, not the plug, which is short and gold plated for lowest impedance. People who deal with long power transmission lines know this well. Again, this starts showing up once you ram a couple of amps of current into the cable and it starts warming up. Then it's definitely no longer "just a chunk of metal", but a coil, a resistor, a capacitor and a source of non-linearity on top of that. So this stuff matters if you listen loud. If you listen quietly, it's not as big a deal.

norbyWe sent stock to them over a month ago. Not sure what's happening at their warehouse, may be some lockdown related delays? Their warehouse is in NJ... Please check with them, at this point that seems best.

CEntranceCrazy. Been trying. No response, can’t even get them to cancel the order. Wow!
