They are designed by Jon Lane the guy who runs Audio Insider and are definitely not chinese speakers. Lots of happy users on their forum and they publish measurements etc, and the speakers hold up to objective scrutiny :)

1) you are wrong. he just post content on web 2) even if your opinion were right... He is blogger/press/reviewer and not engineer. So he can't build perfect audio systems. No labs, no engineering -> no quality no sound. You can bought IKEA furniture and make speakers by yourself

How do you know he doesn't have experience in sound? Many high end speaker designers don't have degrees in sound engineering. Plus audio is subjective so there is no perfect audio system for everyone. I can't vouch for his experience in sound, but if he creates something economical while still sounding very good to most people who buy his speakers, does it really matter if he has a lab, engineering degree, etc?

He's thinking of someone else. Chane staff have been at this for over 30 years...

Jon is most certainly an engineer. He designed a lot of the Arx loudspeakers, if not all of them, as well as the signature SplitGap driver. He's not a blogger. Try doing 5 minutes of research before posting next time.

Point of Clarification. The SplitGap Woofer tech was designed by Dan Wiggins & is licensed by Jon Lane(Chane). However the component driver selection, cabinet volume, & most importantly crossover topology & component selection is all Jon.
