Founded in the early 1980s in Cumbria, England, Chapman began as a manufacturer of fishing and hunting bags. The company has since expanded its product line to include travel bags, totes, everyday backpacks, and work bags. Still, everything is made on-site at Chapman’s Tannery Road factory in Cumbria. Constructed from waterproof cotton canvas that’s been dyed and bonded in Great Britain, the Border Rucksack begs to be taken on adventures. Between its large main compartment with drawstring closure and its two exterior pockets, this top-loading bag offers nearly 2,000 cubic inches of storage space. It’s equipped with two military-grade cotton webbing shoulder straps, each of which measures 2 inches wide, while finishing touches include British-sourced leather trim and solid brass clogball-and-buckle fastenings.
