I ordered the grape and the strawberry mats. I’ve only just gotten them so I can’t say how they’ll hold up long term just yet, but my initial thought is that they’re very nice. My mouse glides over them very smoothly, they stay in place very well, and of course the designs look fantastic. I’m using the grape right now so I just laid the strawberry out for a quick photo.
It feels very high quality but I can see the black backing through the orange color of the mat. I’m not sure if it’s just the orange mats but the color does seem darker in person than in the pictures here.
Such a cute mat! I got the peach and I love the light pink color – vibrant while still feeling pastel. The best part is that it cleans so easily with a bit of dish soap and warm water. I cleaned it after 4 months of use and it looks pretty much like new!
I can not say if I just got a mat that was part of a bad batch or if it was mishandled through shipping, but my Avocado mat refuses to roll flat. From unboxing, there were very noticable "waves" through the whole deskmat vertically. I assumed they may have been there from being rolled too tight so I would place textbooks evenly across the whole mat overnight. There was near 150 pounds of textbooks (thank you college?) and the mat would not budge. While in use, my mouse will constantly "skip" over the waves when trying to make flicks, causing me to actually miss shots. If I could upload a video I would, but its similar to a car driving over a road with nonstop speed bumps.
I did reach out to DROP and they did offer some resolution, but I can not currently recommend this mat or want to risk ordering another one.
