Great switch if you need to "keep it down over there!"
Though it did require an evening of opening and lubing all of these switches to get the right feel, these Silent Reds are great linear switches. While I'm still more of a fan of tactile switches, I can appreciate the speed I get with the smooth (and fractionally shorter) actuation. They also passed the "Spouse Test" too, as my wife even admitted that my keyboard was noticeably quieter. And I'll say this: these were way easier to put in and remove than the Gaterons I was replacing...

End result is worth it
I had trouble installing because the wide pin would tend to bend before engaging into the socket. I found that pre-pinching the wide pin avoided bending the pins. The original keys (LiNGYi blues) on my Yindiao keyboard had pins that were much more robust.

Pretty Quiet
Picked this up as my household was complaining that my tactiles where too loud. As this was my first set of silent and linears, I must say there are very quiet and sound more muted, which I much preferred. Compared to my previous set, Halo Clears, these are much softer and easier to press. Not sure if I miss the tactile bumps but I much prefer the lower volume these output.

Kailh Box Silent Pink much better
I've been using the Kailh Box Silent Pink for 2 years now and I thought maybe Cherry could do a better job (after more than 2 years of research, who knows?). But no, not at all: much louder, and a bit wobbly. Money wasted.

Silent, but a little scratchy
I bought these switches to put in my Drop CTRL for the office. As the name suggests, they are far quieter than normal switches (they are miles quieter than my MX browns!). They are great but as with most switches, they definitely could do with a bit of lubrication as they are a little scratchy and have some ping. Aside from this they are great

Silent, but pingy unlubed
I would definitely recommend lubing these switches as the ping of the springs is louder than bottoming out the switch. After lubing, these switches are relatively good and can be absolutely silent when well lubed. I was genuinely surprised by how quiet and soft these switches are after lubing + no more pinging.

Which lube did you use, and may I ask you if you have a video on that for "lubing the switches" (sorry for my english it's perfectible)?

They really are silent
While I was waiting for this to arrive, I ended up buying some gat yellows to replace my gat browns (both lubed 205g0) The yellows felt too resistant, and the browns had lost most of their tactility, and I decided to try and switch the springs. Effectively making the yellows into reds (it also improved the tactile bump, having yellow springs inside the browns) I installed a few of these silent cherry reds next to a few of my modded gat yellows, and they feel identical (as they should, basically both reds). However, the modded yellows are still quite thocky and these silent reds are REALLY quiet!

Soft, great weight, silent!
I love these switches. I got them for my DROP + OLKB PREONIC KEYBOARD MX KIT V3 so I could use it in the office (open floor plan). I really love these. Soft, a little heavy, satisfying low *thock* sound. After lubing they felt just a little mushy, but I'm a little heavy handed... I actually preferred them like this.
