Are these coated in a resin or poly finish or just raw wood? I'd be looking to use some of my own stain on this which is why I'm asking :)

I thought the ESC row was R4
On my keycaps, which are cherry profile, the top row says R4 underneath and the bottom two say R1

kliklakSome start counting from R1 to R4 from top to down, others do it from bottom to top. There is no single standard that is used by everyone. Here you find all "Standards": https://deskthority.net/wiki/Keyboard_profile#Numbering

Most issues were caused by the wood bending due to moisture.
