Just a quick update on mine. The left boot developed a squeak in the sole. I took them to me local cobbler and, while he was impressed with the quality of the sole, he said they couldn't be fixed without completely rebuilding the boot (at a cost almost equal to that of the boot.) So materials - great (except for the eyelets which, as noted by others, suck) but construction - meh...

I've worn mine quite a bit, a bit of scratching, but nothing serious. Might've gotten pretty lucky, though.

I'm a little disappointed also. The boots generally look great, and the speed hooks scarring the upper I can look past, because that part of the shoe isn't visible when it's tied. However, the speed hooks are so loose, as previously mentioned, that I am surprised mine haven't popped out yet.

I was pretty excited about these boots. They had a slim profile and looked like they would go well in a casual and suit setting. I grabbed them off of Massdrop . When the boots came, I thought "damn these look great". But upon further inspection, there are some serious quality issues. Words can't describe it so I'll just link a few pictures. Without ever being worn, the tongue of these boots were scratched up from the eyelets:

These weren't superficial scratches either, they were deep:

And that was just from the shipping. The eyelets are such poor quality, they're actually coming out of the leather when you put any stress on them:

Look at that, one of them actually came off:

I'm not sure if I just got a really bad pair, but I'm pretty unhappy with them. They do look nice, but I can't see them lasting more than a few months with that eyelet issue. Would massdrop refund me the money for such a defective product?

Same experience here, I just completely pulled out the speedlace hooks and wrap the laces around the whole boot after notice it rubbing heavily. Also, the rubber outsole started peeling in the front on both boots. I will definitely not recommend these in future drops. Should've spent the extra $$ for the 1ks.

Wow, the same thing happened to me. I feel like our batch must have been made on a Friday. Also, my boot squeaks like crazy. I feel like build quality is quite low.

Another brief update. We've just heard back from the vendor that the group's order is now en route to our warehouse in New Jersey. Tracking info hasn't updated just yet, but we will be sure to check-in and update the group again as soon as our team receives the shipment.
We are still so thankful for your continued patience and you can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 7/27 or earlier if anything comes up.

Another quick update. We are still in contact with the vendor and awaiting updated shipment estimates from them. We will be following up with them again tomorrow morning and should get a bit more visibility in regards to when we can expect these in our warehouse. We will update the group as soon as these are on the way.

Another brief update for the group. We've just checked in again with the vendor and they've let us know that production of these boots is still on schedule and everything is going according to plan. We will keep monitoring their progress routinely and update the group as soon as the shipment is en route to New Jersey.
