A bit of a joke. The new Hugo II has the same retail price. This is like putting an old iPad up and claiming a steep discount. It's old stock liquidation, not a credible mass-drop. Is there someone's name we can link to this chicanery.

Liquidation of old stock is a major source for group buys and inherently Massdrop. Once an item has reached the end of its life cycle the greatest discounrts are available as all one-time costs have been recouped. Not really sure why you see this modus operandi as lacking credibility and/or trickery. Guess some people just expect others to hold their hands....

And -- I see used but like new ones regularly being offered for around $1000. Lastly, where does this unit fit into the line of changes done to the Hugo before Hugo II came out? I feel like I'm dealing with an honest seller when this is made clear.
