Man, I want one of these so much. Performance to price this is one of the best DAC/Amps you can get for under a grand.

livingspeedbumpThats true but there are power limitations really its only good for portable and iems it will drive others above those categories but it wont drive the bass correctly which is what you really want in bigger headphones anyway so kind of defeats the purpose.

iCeOL8TRAmnesiaYeah, with the size this is clearly aimed at the portable market and would provide an upgrade/ability to drive larger headphones if needed with most DAPs.

livingspeedbumpNo, it doesn't drive the bass on most nicer full size headphones better off with other options really this is for on ears and below or if you only care about clarity and dont care about bass(but lets be honest everyone loves bass Im not saying basshead but bass).

iCeOL8TRAmnesiaWhere did you get off thinking all I want is bass? I don't "love bass", I love balance. Same with thinking I automatically want "bigger" headphones. I primarily use LCM BD4.2's with my DAP's, which I generally only use when I am on the go. I had a sample unit for a while after it was released and have always wanted to get one for keeps.
My original point still stands. For a sub $500 you'll be hard pressed to find anything that lives up to this. With 35mW at 600ohms, you'll get plenty of volume even for, as you say "bigger headphones," with the clarity and intimacy still intact. In reality size isn't what matters here, it's impedance. The Mojo also has a tonal balance and accuracy that is not found on some DAC/Amps that are twice the price.
Finally, the whole idea of a "portable" DAC/Amp is to pack a punch in a small, manageable package. Paired with the Shanling M2s, you can see the Mojo is definitely not big by any means. The build quality is also superb. It's a solid little chunk of aluminum.

But beyond some random dude on the internet talking, do your research when buying a piece of gear that costs as much as this one. Read reviews from trusted sources. When it comes to this little guy, you are going to be hard pressed to find anything negative.

livingspeedbumpGenius, I already own a Mojo. Dap is pointless and a waste of money. IM TELLLING YOU,,,, OO,,,, IT LACKS BASS AND OOMPH ALL YOU WHO THINK MOJO CAN POWER ANY HEADPHONE ARE DEAD WRONG. Yes it has clarity and laser like precision from the PULSE ARRAY that likely nothing can match but that doesnt mean that the sound is full like you get off other solutions. Had this argument 2 times now your the second money blinging money waster to now say that Mojo is full sounding even with full size headphones and you are dead wrong like the other guy. Either your a treble head or you dont know what full sound is........
I think everyone claiming they like "balanced" sound really likes lean, highs, anemic sound and are all trebleheads. Im not a basshead but if the sound isnt thick in the lower mids and bass it just doesnt sound as good and Mojo doesnt really deliver that it does on some headphones but not larger headphones where that aspect is most powerful.

iCeOL8TRAmnesiaHow would I know you own a Mojo? Ha.
How is a DAP a waste of money? I walk 2 miles to and from work daily, and want to listen to music as I walk. There is literally no other solution other than using a phone, which is never a very good solution for music on the go as they will always be worse than a DAP. On the side, my phone doesn't even have expandable memory capabilities, so I literally can't use my phone.
I never said "ANY" headphone, but a good majority, yes. Again, "larger" doesn't mean anything. Impedance certainly does though. At this point I'm sounding like a broken record, but this is MAINLY for on-the-go scenarios, at least in terms of the design philosophy behind the Mojo. Anytime a unit has a rechargeable battery, it is a pretty clear indication that mobile use was a huge consideration as far as design and functionality goes. And I don't know a lot of people walking around with "larger" / high impedance headphones. I generally stick to using those at home with a much more powerful desktop system, and think most others do as well.
For low/medium impedance headphones, both IEM/CIEM's and over-ear headphones, the Mojo is fantastic. Is it the cheapest option? No, but in the price range it is probably the best. And like I said you should always do research before purchasing an item this expensive. Am I going to judge people based on the money they spend? Nope, not even a little bit. To each their own.
Don't just take my word for it though:

livingspeedbumpI'll second this, being more in the ProAudio frame, I'm looking for accuracy, not ugly boomy bass (get the Oppo with 'bass boost' if you wan't ugly bass. As for not driving large headphones (iCeOL8TRAmnesia), what 'phones have you tried? It works great with my Etymotic ER-4s, my Sennheiser Momentum (over-ears), and my Audeze LCD-Xs, and even tried with my old Sony V6s. Where as my Oppo HA-2 don't have that extra oomph for my Etymotics (IEMs). But, obviously if you want a 'bass boost' you can just EQ the bass (like in the Onkyo HD app), or find an amp that does the 'bass boost' thing. I love this little DAC Amp and am amazed that it works with all my 'phones', and just makes music fun to listen to (also handy that with an iPhone 7 I need one for my listening). Heard a talk from Watt himself, when debuting the DAVE, and quite impressed with his skill and his general practicality (though a >$10k DAC does call that a bit into question;). My problem is even at 10 hrs I'm always so into the music I keep running out the battery;)

gadersonI've tried HD6XX, K7XX, Meze 99 Classics, and Grado RS2e's. For IEM's I've just used the LCM BD4.2's, SE215, and SE535's. It had no issues driving any of them well.
