The mojo is a good product driven by hype to be the best.
It isnt. The mojo is an excellent dac, but schiit modi multibit offers better sound at less than half the price.
The interference of the mojo when stacking up to mobile devices is inacceptable for the price you are paying.
And honestly, no one wants to strap a mojo to their phone, trust me, i already dont like stacking my fiio e17k to my phone which is about half the thickness of the mojo.
The mojo is only for those than require a portable dac on the go and wants to drive headphones with them. Ill rather buy the ifi micro idsd black label for the insane amount of options.
I went to try the mojo and the ifi black label, and what I can say is that the mojo's dac is excellent but is let down by its inferior amp stage. The ifi black label shines with classical recordings due to its soundstage, while the mojo is excellent for the Signature chord house signature, with mids full of body and a very intimate sound signature that makes vocals much more superior to the ifi. Ill still recommend the ifi for its output power and features.
The ifi is transportable but not portable. Its impossible to strap an ifi to your phone.
My advice? Always try before you buy. Dont buy based off hype generated by online reviews.

Scarce97I think it all comes down to your own preferences, be it sound, form factor, or other. When it comes to sound, everything is subjective. In choosing a dac you should also consider your needs, what are using it for. I mean you may prefer ifi black label compare to mojo because of its power, but for me personally I choose mojo over the black label because it's more stackable and portable and because it sounded better to me (others may find the ifi to be better). Also I mainly use iem so power is not really a problem. As for stacking, I would recommend you stack it with the shanling m1 instead of your phone for a portable option. So yeah, you should definitely try it out first if you can. But the hype for mojo is there for a reason.
