arrakianThe AMP should provide the extra bass boost, like Fiio E12A and Oppo HA-2. The Mojo is a great sounding DAC/AMP, nice looks, nice size, every connection possible (usb, coaxial, optical) except MFi (Made for Apple) I can connect my iPod classic to the Oppo HA-2 (no special USB cable needed). *Waits for Mojo v2.0*.
OneLoveI don't have the Nano, and the iPod Classic has old software that Apple is no longer updating. That's probably why it won't connect to the Mojo (I guess).
arrakianThere is a guy on ebay that makes a cable using apple camera adapter. I ordered it for my hugo and it works great. Its an apple hacked mini usb to lightning cable. It worked on the mojo and hugo. This is a lightning specific cable though, not a 30 pin. Not sure if i can link it here but search Hugo lightning cable. Its red and the guy is from Latvia.
elauElau, the Fiio is what got me started on this cable journey. I searched high and low for it, and when I was about to give up, I found it on a French site. before I could get it delivered, I saw this cable and decided to give it a try (I was looking for one with right angles at both ends).
elauI bought my cable from forza audioworks. They're located in Poland but the shipping was cheap and it took less than 2 weeks to get to Hawaii. WARNING: They're prices are pretty cheap, you might end up buying more than what you went there for.

Not 100% sure since I use android but I've read a bunch of reviews on headfi.org and it works for them on apple. Try sending them an email. I did before I purchased. The guy was really nice and responded in less than a day.
