I'm getting two but I was wondering if can we get one with pipe lighter insert instead?
I read somewhere that you can mail it in to Zippo and get a free zippo pipe insert? I am hoping to save the hassle of sending one in myself.

Strado+1 for pipe lighter. I may join if it gets to the 1000 drop price (depending on what it is), but I would be in already if there was a pipe lighter.

StradoFrom what I've read as well. It takes them 3-4 weeks to replace a regular lighter with a pipe lighter insert, signalling to me that they don't have these readily available unless you buy the specific model like this: http://www.zippo.com/product.aspx?id=1025535
I can add this model to the drop, but having to have some lighters with pipe inserts and some not seems like it would delay shipping out the product, unless the pipe insert orders are willing to wait.

andyI only speak for myself, but I would wait an extra couple weeks for the pipe insert. Thanks for looking into it.

andyI'm a little confused, are you saying that adding the pipe lighter model of zippo to the drop would slow down the shipping, or having pipe lighters added to the current drop models?
If it won't slow down the shipping for everyone, and if it's even possible it a would be great if you could add either of these, http://www.zippo.com/product.aspx?id=1023771 , http://www.zippo.com/product.aspx?id=1023793, or both, I'm sure we would reach 1000 no problem.

y3llophantBy adding in the 2 lighters above, should not slow down shipping since they come like that. I'll have to check with Zippo on inventory levels.
If we tried to have the current Zippos offered converted into pipe inserts, there would be a delay (3-4 weeks).
Since it's something any current Zippo owner can do for free, I would highly suggest just to send it into Zippo once you get your lighter from us.
