A great alternative to the traditional hardcover, the Ciak notebook is a smidge bigger than the A5 size, with a horizontal elastic band that can hold a pen or extra loose leaf as needed. The cover is durable and water-resistant, but flexible and soft to the touch, and available in a range of cheerful colors Read More

I like that you usually show sample writing with different pens when listing books. This allows us to gauge feathering, for instance. However, to make the comparison even more useful, it would be great if you could include a shot of the back of the page, so that we can judge bleed-through. I recognize that there are several variables there - which ink was used, which pen and nib - but nevertheless it gives us a good starting point.
Cheers.
GlennBYou're right, and I'm working on adding more comprehensive writing samples that will better show different types of fountain pen writing, as well as the back of that page. In the meantime, for most of these I try to use the widest, wettest nib I have available at the time. In this particular case, it's the LAMY Joy 1.5 mm, with Blue LAMY ink.
I just started using this notebook a few weeks ago. Because of the index and the numbered pages, this notebook has been great for bullet journaling (http://bulletjournal.com/). I also love that it has a monthly calendar view. With fountain pens, I've seen some ghosting, but no bleeding. This thing has really organized my scattered work life.
jean9nesThank you for sharing the link to Bullet Journal. I have been trying to develop my own journal / scheduling / task tracking system, but hadn't found such a complete system described in such detail. Thanks to that video and being introduced to those keywords I came across a wonderful community of people sharing how they use their journal. Thanks a lot!
