Yes, this is frustrating not knowing when my drop may be delivered, but I can understand it's not really anyone person's fault. In saying that, may be it might be an idea to contact the vendor just prior to the end of the purchase period with a rough number of order expected and get a rough estimate as to when the delivery can be met? I know it's one extra thing on top of all the work you guys already do, but I would personally really appreciate knowing when I may be able to get them. I don't mind waiting if I could just know what is going on.
