mr11I’m not disagreeing with your point that there are some other options out there, but I wouldn’t take the invicta over this watch. I’d trust the Casio wr rating and assembly over the invicta. and I own that Invicta as well as another, so just saying.

WatchyoutalkingaboutI own the black automatic Invicta, the Casio and the blue Citizen divers. They all are solid and have WR of 200m. My main focus was value in a daily beater. For those new to divers, I recommend the Casio, the Invicta and the Citizen in that order. Although the Citizen is a nicer looking watch, it's a matter of personal preference.

mr11I have the Invicta (two of them) and I'd much rather go with this Citizen if I was serious about getting wet. As to your other options, I've noting against quartz watches but I don't normally compare them to automatics unless it's necessary--here, it ain't. Best watch lists are like opinions--everybody has one and that one was kind of weak. As for the criteria (under $100), it's simply too limiting. Big-time, fancy-pants watch guys like myself have no problem at all dropping $125, even $150 on a watch without thinking twice (sometimes, not at all, depending on how much we've had to drink). Accordingly I stand with the original recommendation--this is the watch to buy, at this price point. Spend the big bucks and live a little--after all, you only go around once.

mr11My father in law has a Casio Duro/Marlin diver (as does Bill Gates) that is a beautiful watch and dirt cheap.
