If you’ve never heard of Super Titanium, you’re not alone. It’s Citizen’s proprietary material—40 percent lighter and five times harder than stainless steel—and it plays the starring role on these two Eco-Drive powered timepieces. The first is the CA7050-57H model: a 1/5-second chronograph that will measure up to 60 minutes with a rotating ratchet bezel that can be moved to reveal the crown. Next up is the AW1660-51H model: a more minimal take on the titanium look with a rotating bezel and a 4 o’clock crown. Both watches are water-resistant to 100 meters and never require a battery, as long as they get some time in the sun.

The Citizen name is more than just that—it’s a promise to citizens around the world to create quality, accessible timepieces that drive our planet forward. Founded in 1918, Citizen has been an innovator in the watchmaking industry for more than a century. The oil crisis of 1973 proved to be a turning point for the brand. As global awareness of alternative sources of clean energy spiked, Citizen rose to the challenge and created Eco-Drive: a solar-quartz movement powered entirely by light, eliminating the need to replace harmful watch batteries. Today, Eco-Drive is at the heart of almost all Citizen watches, carefully tracking the time and lighting the way for a better world.
