Not a bad EDC at all

Looks a bit aggressive in person when the blade is out so you might turn some heads while using it. The sharpness and hardness of the blade reflects the price, but still... For $33, it's hard to find a better looking, well made piece.

Lovely to look at and to use

I got both the small and the larger size. The small's blade is a little off center but works just fine. But with my larger hands the bigger size is my go-to. In addition to beautiful lines and blade shape, I am really loving the handle material. I got a light green color and it is almost luminous. The way light passes through the G-10 glass fiber laminated resin is really attractive and unusual. Given the light color this is not going into the field with me. But it really makes me feel good when I bring it out as an EDC because it looks so fine, and it seems to be holding an edge well. Flip assist would be nice but absence certainly not a deal breaker. This beauty was a true bargain and gives pleasure with every look and use.

Commandé le grand, reçu le petit :-/ Ordered the big one, received the small one :-/

Petit modèle reçu au lieu du grand, après contact avec le SAV compromis trouvé. Hormis ce désagrément, ce couteau est un bon EDC, même si j'aurais préféré le grand modèle. Le tranchant est juste, après un passage au cuir, il devient très coupant. Les plaquettes G10 couleur jade sont top, leur texture est agréable, en plus les platines acier sont fondues dans ces plaquettes, pour l'esthétique bravo. La sortie de lame est fluide et elle se bloque bien dans le liner-lock. Le déblocage de la lame et sa fermeture est tout aussi fluide. Petit défaut de finition, les vis du stop-pin se sentent trop, elles ne rentrent pas assez dans les plaquettes en G10. Mais au final ce couteau a un bon rapport qualité / prix, même si le packaging est limite (couteau dans un simple sac plastique, lui-même dans une simple boite carton). Pour un usage quotidien il sera parfait si le tranchant reste. ------------------------ Small model received instead of the large one, after contact with the after-sales service, a compromise is found. This annoyance aside, this knife is a good EDC, although I would have preferred the large model. The cutting edge is fair, after switching to leather, it becomes very sharp. The jade-colored G10 pads are top, their texture is pleasant, in addition the steel plates are melted in these pads, for aesthetics BRAVO. The blade outlet is smooth and it locks well in the liner-lock. The release of the blade and its closure is just as smooth. Small finishing defect, the stop-pin screws feel too much, they do not fit enough into the G10 pads. But in the end this knife has a good quality / price ratio, even if the packaging is limited (knife in a simple plastic bag, itself in a simple cardboard box). For daily use it will be perfect if the edge remains.

CJRB has been a little hit-or-miss before, but at the price point, it's hard to complain. My Feldspar small, however, is no miss. It arrrived sharp, with a smooth open and close action, solid blade detentes at closed and mostly-open positions, the lock engages correctly and audibly, and no burrs or excess oil. The blade shape is slightly pointy. In real life, it's slightly larger than I imagined the small would be; that's my fault, though, as the measurements are correct. The grip is good, and the clip is a fairly standard CJRB chrome deep-carry left-right reversible clip. Natural/undyed G-10 is the perfect color.

My New Favorite!

Gotta say, CJRB just nailed it with this one. Their new textured G-10, combined with the contoured handle, feels great in hand. Because the grip is so comfortable, it feels very light and nimble, making the experience comparable to that of more expensive knives. The action on this knife is absolutely flawless. On the previous CJRB knives like centros and briar, I had rather gritty actions and hit-or-miss detents, but this one has action that's butter-smooth and detent that's right on the spot. Aaaand I am so glad I got the natural G-10 color scales, which makes the entire package look special. The gold ring around the pivot is a nice accent as well.
