A robust and sporty chronograph, the Claude Bernard by Edox is ready for whatever you put it through. Backed by a swiss quartz movement for accuracy, it’s built with a stainless steel case and sapphire crystal to protect the contents inside Read More
Plenty of inexpensive quartz watches of this type for sale on Amazon--nothing special about this one.
BTW, Swiss Made means nothing at this price point.
Woah, whoops. Judging by your op I thought you were cool to help. If I find some I’ll post, of course.
P.s.
I can confirm “Swiss Made” isn’t super special.
At first I thot that "chronograph watch" was oxymoronic. I checked it out to find out that it means that there is a stopwatch include. I suppose that it is much easier to ask exorbitant prices for a chronograph watch than it is for a wristwatch with a stopwatch function. Thanx to the stopwatch function in my smart phone, I can truthfully say that this has taken exactly 46.7 sec to type.
Just got mine, much better than what I expected for the price. It's also a bit larger than I thought. Def. on the big watch side. Color is great, both the band & dial. My SO commented on it....
A few of observations:
The watch arrived in a strange state. It's basically in split timing mode, which makes it seem like the chrono is not working. Pushing the 'B' (4 oclock) pusher takes it out of split timing and it works as expected.
The 200m rating is suspect as the crown doesn't screw down....
Lots of glare from the sapphire, I don't think there is any AR coating
Lug width is 22mm
Much lighter than expected for a watch of this size
Overall, it's very nice at this price. Super comfortable, possibly one of the most comfortable watches I own, esp. at this size. It's certainly far better finished that my Glycine Combat Sub (which I will be selling) at 1/3 of the price (yes, auto vs quartz & all that).... For a sub-$200, it's exceptional, Swiss or not, but outstanding for a Swiss made, sapphire crystal watch.
Here's a gratuitous photo of me rockin' the Aquarider.... This might become my new daily beater, relegating my old Sector to mechanic/construction work only.
If one buys this you should definitely NOT use the timing features in the water.
It will flood.
Very few chronographs are made to be used submerged and the ones that can, don't cost 200$.
TragiqueThat's pretty much true of any chrono. Even the ones that can usually have a depth limitation. Anyway, I would not take this watch anywhere near deep water as it lacks a screw down crown.....

OdedkNo... typically the dials have a luminous phosphorescent glowing solution applied to it that makes it glow in the dark after being exposed to light.

rudewatchGlad to see MD hired someone else to copy and paste the information they were to lame/ignorant to post!
Now if they can hire some kid that actually wears a watch (no, Apple watches and phones don't count) to write copy that doesn't contain ridiculous comments like: "The dial is part of where the “Aquarider” name comes in." --we'll all be set.
I encountered a similar situation shortly after marrying my first wife--turned out only 60% was the girl I knew; the other 40% was from...another world.
