When this steamer worked it was great. However, after only a few uses it started to leak and, instead of steaming my garments, spattered them with huge drops of water. Waste of money.
The steamer can only be used in a vertical position. I didn’t know that. Hopefully it’s somthing I missed in the product description before sale. It’s a very flimsy feeling device. I cannot comment on its effectiveness because the on/off button if defective and will not stay illuminated there for not heating the water. I’ll be contacted massdrop to return it.
I read and followed the instructions and it still doesn't get the wrinkles out of my cotton shirts or my wool pants. Save you're money and get a decent iron, a decent ironing board (or just go to your local dry cleaner), and some Downy Wrinkle Release spray. I will say, this product is really good at spraying water on your clothes at random, so maybe that's the target consumer for this product.
It leaks all the time. The water starts to boil rapidly and is gone within a couple of minutes. It worked fine the first 2 times. I'll stick to my regular iron for now.
I actually got rid of this steamer years ago. It eventually started leaking, so I replaced it with something more permanent. If you need something every once in a while or for travel, this might suit you, but it probably won't last.
Sometimes it works a charm, sometimes it does not.
The cord is pretty short for my use. Difficult to find a balance between spitting hot water and insufficient steam to do the job. When I'm struggling with those issues, it feels like it takes as long as ironing. It doesn't, but it feels like it.
