Can't find any information regarding the material of the actual desk top, not the frame. Can anyone enlighten us? On that note, how would it hold up to a triple monitor (27") vesa clamp mount?

afk.or.feedHey there! It’s actually MDF (medium density fiberboard) and on top is a gigantic mousepad topper. The straight edge design allows for you to add the 3 monitors although I might go up to the L-shape for that just to give you more space unless you’re stacking the monitors on top of one another. Can you send me your current setup? Would love to see how to use the monitors.

Clutch ChairzHere's a glimpse into my life: https://imgur.com/a/xWbwkDI Everything actually runs off the ZBook located below the desk on the right side. Here's the full setup:
  • HP ZBook 17 G4 (i7-7820HQ, Quadro P5000, 64GB DDR4)
  • HP Thunderbolt Dock G2
  • AKiTiO Node Pro
  • ZOTAC GTX 1080 Ti AMP Extreme
  • 3x Samsung C27HG70 1440p@144Hz QLED
  • 3x ASUS ROG Aura Terminal (for reactive bias lighting for each display)
  • Logitech G910 Orion Spectrum
  • Logitech G600
  • ASUS Xonar U7
  • Creative Sound Blaster E5
  • Logitech C920
  • Logitech Bluetooth Audio Receiver
  • Logitech Z906
  • Blue Yeti
  • Various Headsets/Headphones
  • ASUS STRIX 7.1
  • Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum
  • Samsung Level Over
  • Sennheiser HD 380 Pro
  • Sennheiser HD 598 Cs
  • Massdrop x HIFIMAN HE4XX
I love my desk and setup right now, but my main issue has been that the center 3rd of the desk is all MDF (only just over a half inch thick) with no support around the edges. The back of my desk definitely didn't like having that 3x vesa mount clamped to it. I managed to mitigate the problem for now by adding the steel beam you see behind my speakers

afk.or.feedThat’s an awesome setup. I think you’ll like ours a lot especially if you go for the L or U shape you’ll have an easier time to mount your whole system. I currently have 2 monitors on mine with a third attached to the side. The straight edges allow for peripherals to be clamped on and handle it fine. Let me know what you decide!

Clutch ChairzWelp . . . It was a bit of a stretch financially, but this /was/ a good price, so I ended up going ahead and getting the full U set. It'll probably be some time before I can actually commit to setting it all up, as I'll have to tear down my current setup (which I just painstakingly cable managed D:) to do so. The design of this desk has impressed me quite a bit, and it's the first "gaming" desk I've come across now that has actually strongly compelled me to want it. Could you spare a bit more of your time to answer some questions I have though? I'm trying to plan out how I'm going to use this and there's a few things I wanted to clear up: - Does the middle "return" section have only that one leg, or does it come with both for additional support? - Going off of that, how exactly does it attach to the other sections? - What's the recommended weight limit of the two main sections, as well as the return section? - What's the thickness of the desk surface? - Assuming I do clamp on peripherals as advertised, how do you recommend working around the full coverage mouse pad? - I have a rather uneven carpeted floor. How adjustable are the feet, and could this cause a problem with getting the 3 sections to line up and be level with each other? - How are the legs attached to the desk? Is there some kind of reinforcement inserted (inlayed nuts or such). MDF tends to not hold up too well if you disassemble and reassemble too much due to the granular particles it consists of. My current desk has some loose connections due to this. - What's the underside like? Will I be able to attach (adhesive) cable runways the entire length of the back of the desk (on all 3 segments)? - When you say "steel frame", does that refer to the outer edges of the surface, or some support structure under it. If not, is the entire top just MDF, or is it protected by something else around the edges? I have high hopes for this desk and I'm looking forward to setting it up (if not my next credit card statement :P)!

afk.or.feedHow do you like the desk? Can you share how much it cost for the U when this drop was live?

FluffeepuffIt was an added $400 dollar premium for the full desk, with the single section being 299.00. They charge a full thousand for the full set up through their own website. I wouldn't suggest anyone buy this desk, for any of the prices that are offered. I had never used one when this went up, but since then I have. As a desk, it's fine, it serves its function of being a flat surface to hold things, but nothing here represents its exorbitant price tag, perhaps other than the custom fit mouse pad surface. I think it's about a 170lb load rating. As a personal aside, I find a nice big rectangle mouse pad to be much more aesthetically appealing rather than the entire desktop. I would urge anyone to avoid "gaming" desks and chairs. As there are much better if you are looking for actual ergonomics, especially in the chair department. When a companies thought of ergonomics comes down to a slight curve of a front edge, and that's it. It seems more of a marketing term than an actual consideration.
