jayceeyiliI wondered if this was possible, and Heck, you did it already! Only bummer is that one has to modify the Switch itself, awesome nonetheless!

Got mine today, not a mechanical switch, no clicky-clicky. Why the hell was this under mech keyboards if it's not mechanical? This was my first drop and I will never order anything from here ever again. I was prepared for the thing to fall out of the case, I was prepared for the colors to be a little off, but I wasn't prepared for it to not even click. WORTHLESS.
EDIT: Okay that's my bad, apparently the cool, black switch is NON-CLICKY, so I ordered the only non-clicky switch because I had to be cool and get black. Still, they should tell you that. Just be aware that the black ones are not clicky, and therefore why would you want them in a fidget toy?
Bagel_JesusIt's a pretty well known issue based on the comments below. I just used a bit of hot glue when I got it since I expected that problem. No issues since.
First off, I want to give some warnings to people that are new to mechanical switches: If you get the red or black, do not expect it to be clicky at all. That is just not how it works. Many people are complaining about their red switches or black switches being non-clicky, if you want clicky go for the blues.
To the people who already know about mechanical switches: The metal has lasted me a long time with sustaining not even minor scratching. The casing fits almost perfectly around the switch: almost. A common problem is the switch constantly falling out of its casing. Its an easy fix though, some superglue will do. Still a little unfortunate that they let that mistake slip, but besides that it works just fine. Its cool to show off to friends etc.
Just a reminder/forewarning to anyone joining this drop (I was in the last round for 2 of these) - there is a high chance that your switch will be loose in the housing and that you'll need to do a bit of extra work to get it to stay without being worried about it coming out.
soflyI can attest to this being true. I got a red housing with a brown switch last drop, because the housing are so loose I ended up losing the switch & a DSA GeekHack cap. :( In hindsight I probably should've checked to see how well the switch was held by the housing. But considering this is supposed a key chain that gets swung all the over place & bumped around quite a bit. You'd think the manufacture would have made sure the fit was good before mass production. I would go elsewhere for this product since there is no mention of the issue being rectified in this latest drop.
just like all the comments before me -- I'm pretty bummed that I bought two of these in the last drop and shocked that massdrop is continuing to sell these knowing some are faulty. Both of mine are loose and the switch will not even stay in the case. Like a few other users have suggested, gluing it in there so it actually stays when you flip it over works, but do you really think it's okay to have to fix a product with glue after you pay a fair price?
Just curious if massdrop team can check with manufacture that if they solve the loose issue? Or its for sure going to be the same design as R2? @PeterK
Not sure if this is an issue for others but my switch is very loose in the housing. It doesn't clip in like it would on a plate and falls out with almost no pressure applied to the side of it.
Same here, the switch is loose within the housing. It falls out quite easily. I'm hesitant to put my Lamda keycap on it, I'm afraid I would easily loose it.

I had this problem too, but I solved it without a permanent solution. I simply wrapped some scotch tape into an "o" so it's sticky on both sides and put one on two sides of the inside of the aluminum case. If it's hard to understand, I'll make a little text diagram.

It's still possible to take it out, but much more difficult. If I drop it on the ground, I don't have to worry about the switch falling out.
