I don't see a version with rubber soles or the quick lace hooks on their website - is this a Massdrop exclusive shoe as well? :)
I'd like to see a balmoral boot in the future, to be honest.
KomarithI agree. Although I wasn't particularly referring to Cobbler Union's balmoral boot. One offered by some other good shoe maker would work too, but in general I am liking what I'm seeing on the CU website. About the pointy toes, however - I don't really mind. I have really slim feet and I'm in general sort of lean, so slimmer profiles suit me better. But also, at the end of the day it's a balmoral so I don't think it'll look out of place.
payodpandaGood eye! This isn't a Massdrop exclusive design, but I believe they removed it from their site so that we could secure all the inventory for this drop. This is the updated version of the Winchester boot, which has the changes you mention - Dainite soles and speed hooks.
I'll keep an eye out for a nice balmoral boot :)
IanAndersonWell that's nice of them.
I'd like to say that I would buy a Horween-sourced (or similar quality) shell cordovan pair of boots if they dropped here, but I'd be lying. I don't think I'll be able to spend more than the running price for these CU boots any time soon.
@Komarith I checked Carmina's website few days back and saw this balmoral boot in Horween shell, but comparing the profile view of these boots and CU's Guillaume II, I like Guillaume II's sleeker profile better.

EDIT: dark brown is Guillaume II by CU, whisky is Carmina's balmoral boot. I love that shade of brown though.
payodpandaI have found that Carmina on the Robert (narrow) last in vegano brown - worn once

for less than 300 EUR, I don't think I can pass these up if they fit me (the seller lives nearby so I'll be able to try them on).
I like the Guillaume II profile visually but they probably wouldn't fit me.
