I think the "pointiness" of the boot is a good thing. It's a dress boot and so a slimmer profile makes sense here.

sokeIt's a dress boot, but not as dressy as an oxford boot. I think you could still go with a less pointy toe box given this has open lacing. Otherwise I do like the shape/last of the boot.
