My AK47 in Coyote Tan with CTS-XHP just arrived in an "obviously used" open box which says Coyote Tan on the label, but inside is an all Black AK47 in AUS8...... Ah, you can have this one back and send me the knife I purchased. The ONLY reason I made this purchase was due to the Coyote Tan and the CTS-XHP steel, and I recieved neither in a mislabeled used box. WTH Massdrop?

laeaglesI measured this knife as compared with Cold Steel's stated dimensions and it's 3/4" shorter overall and the blade is 1/4" shorter. Someone took my knife out of the box and swapped in a smaller/cheaper version. I am extremely disappointed in Massdrop's quality controls. I was really looking forward to this delivery.

Is this actually going to ship in CTS-XHP? Cold Steel said they were swapping everything to S35VN.

My American Lawman costed me more than this and it doesn't even have an aluminum pommel. This is a fantastic deal for the full size AK-47. I can't wait to receive this bad boy in September !

This has been my EDC for years and I currently use it a ton for work. The fast deployment from jeans is great but aside from that you pretty much cannot flip it open; it must be a controlled thumb motion. Likewise, with the back side release and somewhat high pressure required, one-handed closing is risky. But what it lacks in open/close safety, it makes up for in active use. The lock is super stable and the the grip is firm and controlled for both heavy and detailed work. It's tougher than nails but isn't fussy to sharpen.

I got the old Cold Steel American Lawman (AUS 8) and the new One with it's better steel XHP. What I'm missing are the steel liners at the new models (also at AK47). Could the new Ones break, the grip only made of G10-plastics? Beg your pardon - english is not my language.

lots of high end knives ditch steel liners to save weight. G10 is laminated fiber glass, you will bend a most steel liners in half before it crackes

G10 is CRAZY strong. If you can break that stuff you're basically the hulk.

The coyote full size @$69 shipped is a great buy considering they are $99 on Amazon Prime, which is their lowest price thus far. At the new year, the CS AK-47 was $119 so if you can live with coyote, which I can, buy it!
The mid size black, which I actually would have preferred, is only $1 cheaper than Amazon prime. Which is unfortunate bc with Amazon you can get in 2 days and not the typical 4 weeks more or less. I jumped on the Coyote full size

Bummer that the standard AK-47 only comes in Coyote and not black. I would have been all over this.
