Cold Steel Luzon Leaf-Spring Folding Knife

The Cold Steel Luzon takes inspiration from several balisong knives in the president of Cold Steel, Lynn C. Thompson’s collection. Large, easy to wield, and wicked sharp, the Luzon features a stout GFN handle with contoured grooves for a comfy grip—not unlike those on a bamboo shoot. For ease of sharpening, the blade is made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, which has been hardened to 58 on the Rockwell scale. These folders utilize a leaf-spring locking mechanism with a secondary safety to prevent accidental closure under enormous pressure. There’s no two ways about it: the knife is large.
