Designed by custom knifemaker Andrew Demko and president of the Cold Steel, Lynn C. Thompson, the Talwar gets its name from an Indo-Persian sword used over 2 centuries ago. At first glance, this savage folder is something to behold, and it commands attention thanks to a body that measures over a foot long. The blade is made from CTS XHP steel—an air-hardening, high-carbon steel designed to hold an edge and resist corrosion. And at 5.5 inches long, this trailing point lends itself to serious slicing tasks and combat scenarios. Cold Steel’s signature Tri-Ad lock holds it firmly in place once opened.
Note: At checkout, choose between Blue and OD Green color options. One of the most notable features of the Talwar is its ambidextrous thumb disk. When the knife is in your pocket, pull it out while simultaneously snagging the thumb disk on the lip of your pocket to deploy the blade in one fluid motion. As for the handle, it’s large—large enough to be wielded two-handed, providing ample surface area for different grip positions. It’s made of rough G-10 for a solid hold in wet and hot conditions. The pocket clip is suitable for tip-up carry for both righties and lefties.
