I've been thinking about moving to 12th century feudal Japan; I wonder if this Katana might come in handy? I know it's not an authentic Katana, but it might be suitable for scaring off drunken bandits trying to steal my livestock or daughters.

BarryBe wary if you want to use it in Feudal Japan. Normal bandits and small fry rurouni samurai are okay but if you see any good class Samurai factions - RUN! They will probably chop this sword with their first strike. This is not a Tamahagane Steel Sword after all.
