honestly astetically it looks marvelous but my concern is how deep the cut goes it practically cut a bit to deep for me, xikar v cut is very reasonable i have both v cuts and honestly i like both but i keep my colibri at work and keep my xikar at home...

I use a Colibri Guillotine, which I actually prefer over this type. Not sure how great a deal this is either, as the guillotines go regularly for $5 - $10 on cbid.

FWIW I have the V-cut version of this cutter and it is sharp, crisp and cuts well enough the I can put two slices - at 90º to each other - through the tip. The cutter itself is heavy, a good feel in the hand. When you slide the release down, it snaps open with authority. If the straight cut is anything like it, this will be an excellent choice.
