I ordered one of these on kickstarter and loved it but had to stop using it because the rigidity of the wallet doesn't really allow it to flex. What that ultimately means is that the corner of the wallet started poke holes in all the pockets of my pants. Not sure if this is something that has changed, just good to be aware of.

Can anyone comment on the nylon interior? Seems like it would be slippery on cards, and I'd worry they might fall out?

Got mine today. Why there is a permanent plastic tape on the carbon fiber??? This makes the whole wallet feels like a cheap plastic one!!!! Same like put a cheap screen protect on your phone.

I got the original Max version from Kickstarter. I mostly loved the wallet, but after 3 years, I traded it to my son (it's his everyday wallet now). So, after 4 years, there's a minor amount of wear on the inside, and some normal wear and tear on the outside. Nothing that would prevent me from showing off all that carbon fiber goodness.
Now the bad (and I have consistently complained about this) - the stupid metal tab they insist on having on the wallet. In my opinion, it's a really bad aesthetic choice (it's all scratched up now), plus it snags on things. If they were to remove that tab, I would buy another wallet in a heartbeat, but as long as it's there, I'm gonna pass.

Have the Max for daily and the passport version for international business travels. Wish the passport version was slightly smaller, but still worked out fine on business trips. Wish the drop was for the trifold... ;)

CommonFibersHello, my version is 5 3/16" tall and 4 1/2" wide. I was ok with the height as it fit the passport perfectly without sticking out, it was the width that seemed a bit wider than it should be.

I had the very first version from kickstarter. Not so classy or formal. I bought an Ashland Leather Johnny the fox and I love it more. Maybe I’m more of a leather person.

monnovalThanks for the support on Kickstarter 4 years ago! Lots has changed since those days; we even have leather interior wallets available. But we also understand that carbon fiber isn't for everyone!

I have the first generation Common Fiber slim wallet, bought it a few years ago.
The carbon fiber exterior is very tough and durable. The flexible CF that makes up the "hinge" is glued on and is only now starting to come off (I put it back on with super glue). Newer versions probably have a better way of securing this.
In any case, I love my Common Fibers wallet and I get a lot of compliments on it.

stevenyooThanks for the great review and support! The carbon is actually one continuous piece and the hinge you are referring to must be the protective film over the top. That is covered under warranty so feel free to reach out on our website if you are looking for a replacement!
