Product Description
Featuring a marbled burgundy body that moves through shades of red as it catches the light, the Conway Stewart Churchill fountain pen has a vintage feel and a great deal of presence. The highly polished acrylic is bookended by black sections and complemented by a set of solid gold rings Read More
Well, Churchill's fountain pen was Onoto, not Conway Stewart (despite some claims to the contrary). Hope we see Onoto pens here too.

I purchased one from MD when they were offered several months ago. They are beautiful pens with exquisite workmanship. I don't remember if they are numbered.. I don't believe they are. Can anyone confirm if numbered?

dedalianI would go for the CS 100 also - great size, beautiful colors to pick from. There is also the Raleigh, the Wellington, the Nelson, the Winston, the Belliver, and so on... not that I'm hooked on CS.
So it sounds like these are made in Italy ? I am also aware of the current situation of the brand and can’t see how they would be made anywhere else. The Country of manufacture should be clearly mentioned in the product information. For all we know it could be in China???
I bought one less than a year ago, at full price ($100 more than what MD is selling here), and absolutely have no regret - even now, knowing that I could've saved $100 waiting for a year. It's just THAT good and I was glad to have discovered it. Back when I bought mine, the color used to be called Claret - a reddish brown/brownish red where burgundy is probably a better description - but words cannot convey the beauty. Note that mine, and the one on offer here comes fitted with a 'Flag nib' made by BBP, not the original CS nib, but writes on par/slightly better than the other CS nib in my collection. It costs money, but an absolute joy to look at, to hold, and to write with. The MSRP of $795 is incorrect, it's listed as $478.80 on BBP's web site (close to what I paid). The $100 discount is very tempting, and I will need every ounce of my will power to resist buying another one (I know, this is nuts, but temptations tend to turn us into irrational beings).
Well, the photos show an English hallmark on the gold band, which does suggest that the pen was made in England. Assuming that the photos reflect the actual kind of pen you'll get.
MandoBearIt does reflect exactly the pen you will get. The hallmark is genuine. Please go to https://www.bespokebritishpens.co.uk then select Conway Stewart and then Churchill, writing mode fountain pen. You will see this Churchill among others available from that site and at that price of $536 plus shipping. be sure to select USD (our flag) on the top right side of the site to see the cost in dollar and not GBP.
