Hmmmm... Wondering if I can use this to retrieve stuck fishing lures by running them down the line and, yanking it out with 550 para cord. Only thing.... How sturdy are say, the Pico hooks?

They are like car insurance. You probably won’t ever need it, but if you ever do and you don’t have it you’ll be in deep poop.

you throw it up the building and pull yourself up and it'll break mid way and you die? They're super cool but don't keep it as an insurance for when you have a problem, they're not even weight rated, so i'd be really careful with them :)

this is under 'everday carry' There really needs to be a tacticool community to distinguish grappling hooks and bug out bags from wallets, belts and zippos.

The next time this drop comes up, can you add an option to buy extra needles? I’ll buy 1 of each again if I can buy extra needles.

No. It’s not designed for that. It’s designed to grab less heavy things, stuck in trees and places like that. And tree branches.

Even if it did the hooks are not actual hooks and will slip off and you'll fall and break your back or neck, or worse.

These kinds of things are a great addition to your geocaching bag. Like the time I had to jury-jig a branch to grab a 5 gallon pickle jug-sized container out of a hollow tree from 12 feet off the ground. Right after that I bought a large treble hook and cut the barbs off, but this is way cooler.

This is just in time! I lost my previous grappling hook thanks to a Hydra agent. Who is now resting somewhere in the Marianas trench with said hook. These are not Shield approved. But I'm sure this will be a suitable substitute.

For what it's worth I've actually found a very similar tiny grappling hook incredibly useful for shaking branches to get drones out of trees.

I own several of these. I bought a bunch for Xmas present from county comm. I've received some bad ones that were sloppily made: over pressed or stamped metal and threads that werenot cut right. Also on the county comm site it says the manufacturer has discontinued these. I don't know why but I haven't tried these in the field for tripping IED'S. Just thought this info is relevant.

For getting cats out of trees of course. Lol Kidding. For grabbing limbs to pull down, as a leader to drag a heavier cord for scaling that wall, or pulling a cooler of food over a limb to avoid bears. Grabbing loose rope in water, crab fishing style. Dragging a sandy bottom lake/pond for sunken tresure. Dam fishing, to hook fish as they go out the shoot. A snare for parameter security Or simply for throwing for fun. :)
