Small grappling hooks like this aren't used for climbing, they are used for dragging across terrain where you suspect Claymores or other nasty tripwire devices may be employed :)

SlanderI would expect the guy to be smart enough to know that claymores are not omnidirectional.
But if you are right, we should warn the Department of the Army immediately, and let them know they have been training their soldiers wrong. You have have actually saved lives here today.

Slanderyou dont drag it across a trip wire from 20 feet away . if you know what a claymore or IDE is capable of you do it from a shielded position or with enough line....you know like most capable world militarys train one to do.

Slandereffective range is 55 meters at a height of 2.5 meters. clamores dont work like hollywood shows them and grenades to work. FYI. most casualties from them are within 20 meters i havent heard of any major injuries or any deaths at 50 meters let alone100
