I've had a Cowon player before (the trusty A2) it delivered great sound and good battery life, a friend of mine had a newer model with great sound as well. Having said that, I would not spend this amount of money on any portable player. I rather spend that on a dac, amp and maybe other piece of equipment.
I know this may cater to some people and it may be an excellent player (a quick search revealed very good reviews) , but for me, the price tag is way too much.
