I am enjoying these speakers quite a bit. They sound punchy and clear. Most everything on the Internet is mastered with the bass turned all the way up so most of the time I have the bass knob turned way down and the treble knob turned up to three quarters.
I have mine plugged into a FiiO DAC/Amp, through the line out jack in the back, and it's a great setup.
My only issue is that even while the speakers are powered on they will temporarily shut themselves off when no noise is coming through the line so, very often, the first few seconds of a song or YouTube video will not be audible until the speakers kick back on. Seems totally unnecessary for a pair of powered, wired, speakers.

pearceoramaits a power consumption feature, the amp is just starting in stages to minimise damage to the speakers

jaxdiosThat makes sense. I didn't assume it was there to be an annoyance but that doesn't stop it from being irksome all the same. For what it's worth, I would not trade these speakers in for a different set despite the minor annoyance.
